Above is an interesting (and very imaginative!) linked document of why you would need an attorney. Can you think of some more reasons for having an attorney other than what was listed? The question is when won’t you need an attorney? With our society becoming more litigious by the day, it is amazing that we can even walk outside our homes without getting sued! Ok, that might be somewhat of an exaggeration but it is not that far from the truth is it? According to the American Hospital Association and the Examining the Work of State Courts study conducted in 2002, you are more than twice as likely to be in court than you are to be hospitalized! What does that mean in numbers? In 2002 there were 36 Million hospitalizations and 93 Million Court Filings! That shows you that people could pretty much come up with any reason to sue you.
